Dr. Tu A. Dao provides care for all of the medical needs of the foot and ankle as a podiatric physician and surgeon for pediatrics, adults, athletes, as well as geriatric patients. He is a specialist in surgery, reconstruction, trauma, sports medicine, and the treatment of all diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle. Dr. Dao works hand-in-hand with the other members of the practice in both conservative and surgical treatments of his patients to help them maximize their care and rapidly achieve their healing goals. His goal and philosophy of practicing medicine is to apply his enthusiastic friendly personality, surgical expertise, vast clinical experience, and most importantly compassion and respect for his patients to help him accurately diagnose their foot and ankle problems and provide them with effective relief.
Dr. Dao graduated from Texas Woman's University in Denton, TX with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry, with honors. He completed his medical education at Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, Illinois. He completed his internship with the Houston Podiatric Foundation at Kingwood Medical Center and Christus St. Joseph's Hospital in Houston, TX. He then went on to complete a 3 year podiatric surgical residency with the Greater Texas Education Foundation at Kingwood Medical Center where he focused extensively on forefoot and rearfoot reconstructive surgery. Dr. Dao is an Associate Member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is also currently an active member of the American Podiatric Medical Association as well as the Texas Podiatric Medical Association.
Dr. Dao was born in Minneapolis, MN. He was raised in Plano, TX . He enjoys swimming, jet skiing, fishing, boating, kayaking, four wheeling, tubing, sailing, knee boarding, paddle boating, grilling, and any other lakeside water activities. He currently resides near the waters of Lake Lewisville in the Town of Lakewood Village, TX.
